Trivia[]
- The theme music that plays at the beginning and end of each episode is a combination of "River Twygz Bed" from Super Paper Mario, Giygas Intro theme from Earthbound, the "Song of Unhealing" (a backwards version of "Song of Healing" from the The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask soundtrack), "Schizophrenia" from the visual novel Saya No Uta, and the "Lavender Town" theme from Pokémon Red Version and Pokémon Blue Version. The intro music was put together by Woolie.
- The intro animation for this series was done by Plague of Gripes.
- The intro seems to make reference to The Thing, specifically the 1982 version, in which a nameless monster can take the form of other beings, and then revert to its original form to kill others. A videogame version of the movie had an episode in the original shitstorm. The intro also bears a resemblance to the game Slender, another game played by the best friends.
- As many as the first ten episodes of this series were recorded before the month of October itself, as revealed by Pat in the Alone in The Dark The New Nightmare video, in which he states that the intro wasn't complete yet.
