Letter Time Edit

Q: Why is pre-ordering a bad thing? from Jackson

  • Pat: In most retail outlets, you can't return open games. On day one you find out it's terrible, but you already bought it.
  • Woolie: They're not inherently bad, but the more steps you are removed from a complete product, the worse off you are.
  • Liam: It's when you see stuff like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided where they wanted people to have so many pre-orders to access more stuff. When companies try to bait people with pre-orders, it's dirty.

Q: Besides your hate for mobile games, do you have any other pet peeves when it comes to gaming? An example is when my brother multitasks between Metal Gear Solid 3 and watching anime so he isn't really enjoying it. from Ampersand

  • Pat: You nailed it. That's the worst. I can't think of one worse.
  • Woolie: That's the worst. Checking a text or something is okay but watching a movie and staring at your iPad the whole time is terrible.
  • Liam: I tried watching a movie with people and everyone else was on their phone or tablet instead of watching the movie.

Q: Of the major fighting game protagonists, who's the strongest strictly in terms of lore? from Luke

  • Pat: It's probably Ragna the Bloodedge or Sol Badguy.
  • Woolie: I'm gonna give it to Sol over Ragna because it's actually the Black Beast.
  • Liam: Ragna or Sol.

Q: What price do you pay for your internet speed and how good is your service? from Keysprits

  • Pat: Too much and not good enough.
  • Woolie: My internet provider is starting to put slow down on their heavier users.
  • Liam: I complained enough to pay seventeen dollars a month, but that goes away in two years.

Q: Have you ever used the play speed modifier when watching videos and do you think there are LPs that can be ruined by it? from Victor

  • Pat: I have never used it for watching footage. I have used it to speed up parts of LPs like Chrono Trigger.
  • Woolie: I have never used it.
  • Liam: I used it when editing certain parts of Super Mario RPG.

Q: Name a game you believe everyone forgot about. from Angelo

  • Pat: Silent Bomber or Cyber Dogs.
  • Woolie: Tongue of the Fat Man.
  • Liam: Silent Hunter or Jewels of the Oracle.

Zaibatsu Watch Edit

  • Pat: I might play Fallout 4 straight into the Final Fantasy XIV when the servers come back up.
  • Woolie: Studying Street Fighter V frame data and Capcom Pro Talk with Mike Ross.
  • Liam: Norn9, Yo-Kai Watch, Syndicate, and Spelunker World.
